As the weather continues to warm up, certain trends have been making their way to the forefront of design. Although many of these textures particularly shine in beautiful summer light, when added to your home, these shapes, tones, and surfaces can absolutely transition
seamlessly between seasons. Have a look at some of the current trends sparking our interest and see if any of these have a place in your own space.

Gold
There’s been a rise in sunny hues across walls of many a home, and so naturally, the most complementary metal tone of choice has been gold. It’s being sprinkled across wallpapers, bedside lamps, lighting fixtures, dining tables, and seating all around home spaces. If you’re in the market for more practical and timeless additions of gold, we carry different gold-toned finishes from bright, light, and lacquered to warmer burnished tones. Check out the different finishes from Armac Martin and Frank Allart to see which tickles your gold-loving fancy.

Wood Grain
Nature never goes out of style, and this season is no exception. Adding wooden pieces to one’s home warms it up immediately, but more modern spaces may struggle to find the perfect pieces that are in line with cooler tones and clean aesthetic. The rise in wood grain faux bois pieces, which are typically cast from concrete, may be just the ticket. Because faux bois is also sturdier and hardy against the elements, it makes a great option for outdoor furniture too!

Fluid Forms
The harder edges of classic furniture have softened significantly to pave the way for architectural pieces that embrace curves and ergonomics: coffee tables that look like a single piece of beautifully curved metal, accent chairs that dip back like lounge chairs, plush sofas in
organic shapes. These have become so beloved not only for their aesthetic addition to any space, but for how they curve to the shapes of the bodies that sit, fit, and live around these pieces. The Armac Martin Cotswold Furniture Cup, Queslett Furniture Handle , and Withensha
Furniture Handle make the perfect accompaniment to these more fluid forms.

Alabaster
Everyone loves a bit of lightness in the home, no matter the season. Alabaster is a timeless choice, with its translucency giving much needed levity, while its marbled texture adds a certain gravitas and elegance to the mix. But when used in lighting, the material really shines, which is why we’ve seen more fixtures and lamps using alabaster in the past year. Consider the addition of alabaster in place of traditional covers for your pendant lights and sconces, or maybe as a decorative addition in the form of a sculptural lamp.

Woven
Warm weather and woven textures are a match made in heaven, but the interest in incorporating more woven pieces into everyday furniture that transcends seasons has definitely been on the rise. Not mainly reserved for just rugs and outdoor furniture anymore, we’re seeing woven accents on the backboards of very modern accent chairs and dining chairs, and even full chandeliers made using woven material. Turnstyle Designs carries a range of woven leathers for its handles, making a chic complement to your woven pieces at home.

Historical Cues
Classical architecture is often recurring, and we often see nods to iconic historical shapes every few years. This year especially, there’s been a wonderful interpretation of Greek keys and arches into side tables, consoles, and accent cabinets. Our selection of Armac Martin t-bars and
knobs, as well as many of their furniture handles, are subtle interpretations of these shapes that are truly classics for good reason.
