In building her beautiful countryside home, award-winning content creator Victoria Magrath did not have to look far for design inspiration. Colourful, unique, and glamorous, the rooms in the house reflect her stylish and striking personality, with each area looking entirely different and impeccably decorated.
Describing the interiors as “extremely eclectic,” the social media star shares that she creates a space depending on what she intends to use it for. This results in a design aesthetic that is both functional and sophisticated, with carefully chosen statement pieces that evoke living luxe.
From a classic open plan kitchen, a dreamy dressing room, and a minimalist utility room, take a look inside Victoria’s Frow Home.
Dramatic visuals greet guests at the entrance, with the bold use of black details against serene white. Armac Martin’s Sparkbrook Cabinet Knobs in burnished brass finish on the cabinetry, complemented by the checkerboard tiles create a stunning effect as soon as you walk in.
To recreate this effortlessly chic colour palette of black and white, add a touch of gold for opulence. It lends warmth and a timeless look to the high contrast space.
It was the open plan kitchen and orangery that convinced Victoria and her husband Alex Harrison to make this house their marital home. “It already felt like the heart of the house and so we wanted our guests to feel relaxed, comfortable, and at home,” she says of the most-used space in their residence.
The rich colour of Farrow & Ball’s Railings on the bespoke cabinetry lends a modern twist and adds depth to the classic country design, with the handles and knobs from Armac Martin’s Sparkbrook collection becoming a statement piece. Light floors and the quartz worktops add Scandinavian touches to the kitchen.
With sunlight flowing through the windows, the overall look of the kitchen is bright, airy, and wonderfully cosy. The open concept is also great for entertaining as both the host and guests are always in sight.
The Utility Room
The shift in hue from deep night blue in the kitchen to a lighter sage in the utility room is one of Victoria’s favourite aspects of the Frow Home. The subtle hint of colour in the minimalist space creates a relaxing and refreshing atmosphere.
With sparse decor, the highlights of the room fall on the golden brass cabinet hardware and fixtures. Accents in the form of the Sparkbrook Cabinet knobs add texture to the pantry, creating a uniform flow from the adjacent kitchen.
The Dressing Room
Whilst each room holds a distinct flair, the Frow Home’s design aesthetic becomes cohesive with its use of materials and textures that make each area effortlessly luxe. In the dressing room, light flows beautifully in the elegantly furnished space that Victoria describes as “lived in and loved.”
“I wanted my cabinetry to be chic and sophisticated without the frills. Just a utilitarian setup with an elegant finish,” says Victoria. This was achieved with Armac Martin’s Belgrave Cabinet Handles in burnished brass finish, which adds warmth to the white wardrobes.
While an ornate chandelier captivates from the ceiling, it’s the Claremont Panelled Dressing Table Mirror that has become the focal point of the room, making the dreamy space look posh and exquisite.
Victoria’s countryside home is proof that the creative use of colour, pattern, and texture can look charming without overwhelming the senses.
