Maximalism is currently having its moment as people embrace the design trend to enliven their living spaces. But it’s easy to go overboard with the ”‘more is more” mindset, especially if you want to inject opulence into your home.
Those who want to showcase pure luxury without losing the refined touch should take notes from Arizona-based interior designer Randi Garrett. Her French-inspired home, The Wren, is a lesson in modern grandeur – elegant interiors combining old world and contemporary features effortlessly.
Randi describes her design aesthetic as a “beautiful mix of old and new. I love to mix clean, modern transitional elements with French details.” She adds, “I believe that when we surround ourselves with things that bring us joy, we live a fuller, richer life.”

The Kitchen
The interior of this immaculate white shaker-style kitchen is filled with spectacular details, including the bespoke cooker hood and the mullion style mirrored fridge. These statement pieces, combined with gold hardware, dazzle and evoke undeniable affluence.

For that beautiful flawless white, the kitchen was painted in Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore with countertops set with Biancho Rhino Marble. Oak wooden floors inject warmth into the space while gleaming accents like the Cabinet Knob and Cabinet Pull in polished brass unlacquered finish and the Appliance Pull in polished brass unlacquered finish – all from Armac Martin’s Latchford collection – complete the luxurious feel.

“This room has so much heart, and soul poured into her – I can’t look at one element and not remember with fondness the many creative minds and hands that have brought our dream kitchen to life,” shares Randi.

The Laundry Room
Colour is how the French bridge the gap between the old and the new, and Randi’s laundry room is the perfect example. The laundry room holds a distinct charm with its pale blue and white palette that matches beautifully with the dreamy cloud toile wallpaper from Schumacher and the parquet marble mosaic flooring.
Brass hardware like Armac Martin’s Latchford Knob and Cabinet Handle in satin brass unlacquered finish add a touch of modern elegance. The look is completed with brass accents like the lantern wall sconces (similar to that in the kitchen but painted white) and the stylish wire laundry basket.

The Linen Closet
Adjacent to the laundry room is the linen closet, where Randi organises the clothes and cleaning supplies. The star wallpaper adds a fun element, while the statement lighting and hardware from Armac Martin pull the room’s polished look together.

Master Vanity
The main bathroom suite mixes modern and French elements to evoke timeless grandeur. The elegant white and gold vanity impresses with the use of Armac Martin’s Latchford Cabinet Knob and Cabinet Handle in a polished brass unlacquered finish. The shower ceiling, walls, and bathroom floor were set with Calacatta marble, making the interiors truly resplendent.
